PETALING JAYA: PKR Datuk Seri advisor Anwar Ibrahim underwent spinal surgery in Turkey and will undergo another operation on his right shoulder on Thursday 12 July.
In a statement posted on his Facebook page, Anwar said that he decided to proceed with the operation as part of his recovery for his condition.
He said that he had lumbar central stenosis, where the spinal canal narrowed, causing pain and numbness.

Anwar shared pictures of him with doctors and his two daughters in the hospital.

Anwar was rushed to the Malaya University Medical Center (UMMC) last month after complaining of pain in the shoulder and back when he returned to Turkey

Anwar expressed his desire to strengthen ties and cooperation between Malaysia and Turkey at the meeting.
