Carlo Benetton, the youngest sibling behind the famous "United Colors of Benetton" brand, died at the age of 74, the company announced on Tuesday.

In an interview in November 2017 with the Italian daily La Repubblica, Luciano Benetton said that attending the fall of the United Colors of Benetton was "an intolerable suffering".

He cited too far from the appearance of the company's signature as one of the reasons for the company's woes and promised to revive the brand to its former glory.
