First stop: Banana Republic. Seduced by an adorable combination in the window (plus a perfect sign of 50), I walked in to see what the store had to offer. And here it is: a simple buttoned dress that, to be honest, had little attraction for the hanger, but had the air of slamming when I put it on! Deceptively chic.
So chic, in fact, that I bought it in khaki and in marine (and wore the navy a few hours later). With a bunch of barbecues and birthday parties on the horizon, I thought I would offer a good deal for two to one. Plus, having too often shot at my denim mini skirt, I realized how much a mid-calf was needed in that time. More riding, more thighs glued to the restaurant seats. Just a pure comfort.
