Pop star Ed Sheeran has an answer for the scorching days of summer in the northern hemisphere: an Instagram account for her cats.
The English singer-songwriter, a well-known pet lover, unveiled Wednesday a new handle – @thewibbles – for his two felines, named Dorito and Calippo.
Announcing the new account to his own 24 million followers on the social media platform by sharing an image of the cats, he promised to chronicle "their daily routine".
Within 24 hours, three photos of the pair in different poses had already attracted more than 110,000 subscribers – and many adoring comments.
Sheeran, 27, was honored for her love of cats, with a figure of the folk-pop phenomenon unveiled last June by Madame Tussauds at London's first cat café.
He's also not the only feline celebrity fan.
Taylor Swift has two pets, named Olivia Benson and Meredith Gray.
Swift, 28, reportedly applied on July 25 to the trademark "Meredith & Olivia Swift" and his website has merchandise for sale that represents the likeness of cats on them. – AFP
