PETALING JAYA: Love is in the air, or rather in the phones, as Emoji, Emoji and Emoji are among the five most used emojis in Gboard.
Gboard is Google's virtual keyboard for Android and iOS and features small animated pudding-shaped yellow icons with the gamut of emotions amused to confused.
To celebrate World Emoji Day, Google revealed its 10 most frequently used emojis in Gboard.
LOL emoji
As the pretty start of each new relationship, the most used emoji is laugh aloud (LOL), a reaction sent when someone One tells a joke.
From left to right: Embrace with emoji hearts, emoji heart eyes and love emoji.
This is followed by the kiss with hearts emoji in second place, followed by emoji heart eyes in third place and emoji love in fourth place.
Smiling Emoji
After a passionate swirling court, the heat is simmering with the smiling emoji in fifth place.
Crying emoji
Just as painful sorrow in every relationship, in sixth place is the devastated and crying emoji.
From left to right: smiling emoji, flashing emoji, emoji sunglasses and happy emoji.
But all is well, crying is followed by a grimacing emoji in seventh place, flashing emoji, emoji sunglasses and finally, happy emoji.
And here's a fun fact – World Emoji Day is celebrated July 17th because it's the date listed on the emoji calendar.
