Jimmy Kimmel Calls for Sarah “Hucka-B.S.” Sanders’ Firing Amid Doctored Video Controversy

Jimmy Kimmel is weighing in on the ongoing feud between the White House and CNN reporter Jim Acosta. On Thursday night, Kimmel slammed the Trump administration, and particularly White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, for sharing a doctored video of Acosta during a Wednesday press conference, and the host insisted that Sanders “should be forced to resign” for spreading lies. But firing Sanders isn’t the only punishment Kimmel has in mind for the woman he called the “Hucka-B.S. machine” — the Jimmy Kimmel Live host has an even better idea about what Sanders should do post-Trump.

Kimmel opened his segment with an brief explanation of the “spat,” saying that the White House claims “Acosta accosted a female intern while she was trying to take the microphone from him.” After showing a CNN video of the incident, Kimmel shared Sanders’ doctored video, which likely originated from alt-right conspiracy site InfoWars, or “a website for the mentally unbalanced,” as Kimmel called it. The host then took a jab at the “Hucka-B.S. machine” for sharing the video despite the fact that it was clearly “sped up” to make it look like Acosta chopped the intern.

“Jim Acosta clearly never touched that White House intern. That’s just a lie,” said Kimmel. “I think this also may be the first time I’ve ever seen Sarah Sanders take the woman’s side on any subject, ever. So good for her. Baby steps. But she should be forced to resign for that.” Kimmel went on to say that it’s completely ridiculous for the White House Press Secretary to “intentionally disseminated doctored video footage to discredit a reputable journalist,” and as such, “she should be fired.”

And then what? Kimmel has one particularly funny idea. “Sarah Huckabee Sanders should be fired and sent to live in a Joanne’s Fabric store for all the rest of her days,” said Kimmel. Honestly, that’s not a bad thought.
