True Keeping Up with the Kardashians stans will know that the show has a breakout star: Todd Kraines. All the way back in KUWTK Season 8, Scott Disick took it upon himself to prank call Kris Jenner, using one of the strangest voices we’ve ever heard in the process. Jenner immediately knew the call was a hoax, but the damage was done: The little words “Auntie Kris, it’s me! Todd Kraines!” proceeded to enter the pop culture hall of fame, not to mention to get stuck in the head of anyone who happened to watch that fateful episode.
We had thought Todd Kraines was lost to the KUWTK canon, but Kylie Jenner resurrected him for — what else — a new lip kit. Jenner previewed the new shade on Instagram, shouting out her mom in the process. Best of all, the kit drops on Kris Jenner’s birthday. What better way to celebrate her momager matriarch than to call out an iconic drag?
Kylie announced the launch on Instagram with the caption: “AUNTIE KRIS, IT’S ME! Introducing TODD KRAINES. A little surprise to celebrate Kris Jenner’s birthday… our new special-edition lip kit, Todd Kraines, drops November 5.” The lip kit features Kylie Cosmetics’ Kris x Kylie packaging, complete with a cute cartoon of Kris and her autograph written right over Kylie’s logo. A muted peach nude, the lip kit contains one Todd Kraines Velvet Liquid Lipstick and a matching pink nude lip liner.
Kylie Cosmetics fans already fall for every new launch, but this is an Easter egg for followers who’ve loved KUWTK since the beginning. Naturally, fans on Twitter are loving the feeling of being in on the joke:
