KUALA LUMPUR: The Ministry of Health is committed to providing increased funding and support to non-governmental organizations fighting HIV / AIDS in its attempt to reach zero 2030.
Deputy Minister of Health Dr. Lee Boon Chye (pix) promised to allocate more funds to the cause of the annual budget of the Government
. We will continue our commitment to provide leadership, advice and resources to our partner NGOs for high-impact, population-specific HIV / AIDS programs.
"We recognize the need for funding greater than the RM 7 million annual allocation for NGO-led interventions and improved investments to address sexual health," he said at the Red Ribbon Media Awards 2018 organized by the Malaysian AIDS Foundation (MAF) as part of its 25th anniversary here

Each winner wins a RM3,000 cash prize, trophy and certificate of excellence in addition to a full scholarship to attend the 22nd International AIDS Conference in the Netherlands from July 23 to 27.
Special Red Ribbon Awards were presented to Malay Mail Weekend Editor Audrey Edwards and Utusan Malaysia Rosmah Mohd Dain, Family and Wife, Associate Editor, for his long-time contribution to journalism on HIV / AIDS.
Celebrities Bob Yusof, Dayang Nurfaizah, Fahrin Ahmad, Sham Shamshiri and Winnie K were also honored by the red ribbon celebrities. Special award for long-standing services as champions of the cause of HIV / AIDS.
