The real Sigmund Freud
THR has just transmitted news that Netflix has given the green light to a new thriller starring a young Sigmund Freud. And how do you feel about it?
The Coming Series of Thrillers Freud will be the first original drama of Netflix out of Austria and imagine the young psychoanalyst using his revolutionary techniques and associating with a medium and local cop to follow a serial killer in The last time I remember seeing Freud on screen, that was when Viggo Mortensen (see above) was playing it in A Dangerous Method by David Cronenberg with Michael Fassbender
Marvin Kren. ( 4 Blocks ) will conduct the series in German language and co-write the show with Stefan Brunner and Benjamin Hessler. Heinrich Ambrosch will be executive producer and Moritz Polter. ZDF Enterprises manages international sales for the project
The series is underway on the eight-part series, which begins production this fall.
