TM launches cheaper broadband plans, says more to come

The RM79 per month is 56% lower than the current Unified home plan at 30Mbps, priced at RM179 per month. Unifi Basic is available from August 15th and pre-orders are open on July 15th.

TM will provide upgrades of up to 800 Mbps to existing Home Unified customers as part of its Unified Turbo Plan. As of August 15, they will be upgraded in installments up to 10 times the current speed of broadband, for the same price.

For example, an existing 30Mbps unified client will be upgraded up to 300Mbps while a 100Mbps Unified Home Client will be updated up to 800 Mbps. New customers who subscribe to an existing unified plan by December 31 will also benefit from the phased upgrade in early 2019.

TM will also upgrade more than 340,000 Streamyx customers in unified coverage areas. the coverage areas will have double the speed that they are getting now.
