In November, Minnesota Timberwolves forward Malik Beasley was spotted with Larsa Pippen, wife of NBA legend Scottie Pippen.
Beasley’s wife Montana Yao filed for divorce on Thursday, according to E! News. Yao was apparently “blinded” by the footage, according to TMZ.
“Montana filed for divorce the day she saw the photos,” a source tells E! News. “Montana never cheated, and it’s not in his character. She’s not dating anyone. It is a member of the family. She focuses on taking care of her son with his parents. They are in quarantine together. Her son is her first priority.
According to E! News, the two had been texting for weeks, Larsa believing that Beasley was preparing to end his relationship with Yao.
“She thought Malik was ending her marriage and she wasn’t doing anything wrong hanging out with him.” Larsa and Malik are still in touch and plan to meet again when the news breaks. “
Beasley and Yao met in 2018 and tied the knot in March 2020. The couple share an 18-month-old son, Makai.

Appreciate all your love for real. Wow… I don’t even know this man… it’s crazy all of you, I see him just like you all right now.
Pippen has also responded to the recent attention in respective social media posts.
“Don’t always trust what you see on social media,” Pippen wrote on Instagram. “Even salt looks like sugar.”
Larsa married Scottie in 1997, filed for divorce in 2016, then filed again in 2018.
Beasley and Yao were charged with crimes in October after threatening a family in a vehicle with a rifle parked outside their home. Police found several guns and marijuana in Beasley’s house. He was charged with threats of violence and possession of drugs, while Yao was charged with the crime of drugs.
In 55 games last season between Denver and Minnesota, the Timberwolves swingman averaged 11.2 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.4 assists.
