PHONAK PRESENTS ADDITIONS TO THE PARADISE LINE
Global hearing solutions provider Phonak has announced the release of ActiveVent, the world’s first intelligent hearing aid receiver, and CROS P, designed for users with one-sided hearing loss. Both products are the latest additions to Phonak’s Paradise hearing aid technology line, now the best-selling platform in the company’s history. ActiveVent is the first hearing aid receiver to automatically open and close based on the listening environment, and CROS P, when paired with Audéo P, improves speech recognition in noise when listening. speech is heard by the non-hearing ear.

ACOUSTIBLOK DESIGNS A NOISE REDUCTION SYSTEM FOR INDUSTRIAL SITES
Acoustiblok Inc. has launched its All-Weather Sound Panels with Panel Cart, a patented mobile solution specifically designed for the high noise levels often encountered in industrial sites. The panels are designed to both absorb and block sound, typically lowering it by 15dB, which equates to a 65% reduction in sound as perceived by human ears and well below safety guidelines. Lahnie Johnson, president and founder of Acoustiblok, said the panels “not only provide the noise reduction needed for a safer and healthier working environment, but also provide the mobility and flexibility needed to solve the problem.”
Panels can also be configured in different shapes and sizes to wrap around machines and can accommodate temporary or permanent workstations, heavy equipment, tools, etc. Initially designed for offshore drilling platforms, the panels’ high acoustic absorbency considerably reduces acoustic energy by eliminating sound reflections.
GN EXTENDS JABRA ENHANCE RANGE WITH JABRA ENHANCE PLUS
Danish hearing aid and headset maker GN Store Nord A / S unveiled the latest addition to its Jabra Enhance hearing enhancement products, Jabra Enhance Plus, wireless headphones for users with mild hearing loss to moderate who are not yet prepared for traditional hearing aids that are worn all day. Headphones are designed for people to hear better in certain circumstances, such as social events, meetings, or while watching TV.

WIDEX MY GUIDE OFFERS MOBILE HEARING ASSISTANCE
Widex USA Inc. has announced My Guide, a new feature in its WIDEX MOMENT smartphone app that allows users to improve the comfort, performance and utility of their hearing aids after initial settings. Up to 20% of new hearing aid users report feeling baffled and frustrated with their devices; My Guide is intended as an answer for users in difficulty.
“Using a hearing aid for the first time or adapting to a new device can take time and dedication as wearers need to develop a new habit,” said Dana Helmink, AuD, Senior Director and Specialist clinical products at Widex USA. “We developed the My Guide mobile tool to make the initial adoption period as painless and positive as possible. My Guide provides wearers with videos and written instructions for use, storage, maintenance and more, helping them overcome issues from a distance.
My Guide has four tabs – Videos, Troubleshooting, Courses, and Notifications, the last of which can provide daily reminders at customizable times – and is available through the WIDEX MOMENT version 1.3 app.
