Harley Morgan was still wearing her dark suit and Rhiannon Boudreaux her wedding dress when Texas "love-goers" were killed in a truck accident a few minutes after their wedding.

Morgan, 19, and Boudreaux, 20, were declared dead Friday at the scene of the accident by the same justice who had just married them.

"I'm talking five minutes. You can kiss the bride," said Orange Police Cpt. Keith Longlois. "The family was right behind them, they were all going wherever they went," he said.

Longlois said they were "childhood lovers" who had decided to be married by the popular Justice of Peace of Orange County, Joy Dubose-Simonton.

He said that the groom was driving when he tried to get out of the justice of the peace building's alley on a five-lane road. A truck pulling a trailer carrying a heavy tractor crashed into their vehicle. The force was so great that witnesses testified that the car rocked several times before coming to rest in a ditch.

The driver of the truck was not identified but Longlois said that he cooperated with the investigation and that there was no sign of wrongdoing. Drugs and alcohol tests will be done, he said.

"I had to stay there and watch my two babies die," said the husband's mother, LaShawna Morgan, at the Beaumont company.
