New poster "Rise of Skywalker", "Black Panther 2" and more revealed at D23 Expo 2019

The second day of D23 Expo 2019 started with the panel of Walt Disney Studios, during which we learned some interesting new things about upcoming Disney, Marvel and Star Wars movies.

  • Walt Disney Studios co-chair Alan Horn spoke to review all the films from the last two years.
  • Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy and Director J.J. Abrams released the entire cast of Star Wars: The rise of Skywalker to discuss the next movie.
  • We had some details about the character of Keri Russell, Zorii, who, she says, is an old friend of Poe.
  • A new poster was shown to the public showing Emperor Palpatine above Kylo and Rey as they fought, as well as images showing Rey brandishing a double-bladed lightsaber.

  • The first film mentioned was Soul, which will feature Joe Gardner, a college teacher who wants to play jazz until he makes a faux pas as he falls into a manhole and that he finds himself at the 'You Seminar' in a metaphysical journey.
  • Film actors will include Jamie Foxx, Tina Fey, Daveed Diggs, Phylicia Rashad and Questlove.
  • Foxx and Fey will play Garnder and a character named 22 respectively.
  • The music for the new film will come from Jon Batiste, with Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross.
  • Soul will be released on June 19, 2020.
  • Then Tom Holland and Chris Pratt spoke to discuss Forward and the guests present could see eight minutes of the film.
  • Before leaving the scene, Holland went to the public saying: "It was a crazy week but I like 3000", in reference to the recent Spider-Man News.
  • A new poster and an image of the film were also shared.
  • Jennifer Lee, Creative Director of Walt Disney Animation Studios, spoke to announce Raya and the last dragon.
  • In this new film inspired by classic Disney movies and Hong Kong action movies, Raya is on the hunt for the latest dragon.
  • Raya is dubbed by Cassie Steele and Awkwafina will make the voice of Sisu the dragon.

  • The panel was completed by the highly anticipated Frozen 2.
  • It has been announced that the actress Evan Rachel Wood would make sing the mother of Elsa and Anna. She also attended the screening of a clip of her singing to the girls.
  • Sterling K. Brown was also announced to hear Lieutenant Matthias in the new film.
  • Another clip shows a charades game that causes Kristoff to get on one knee and Elsa to be called by a voice that she has already heard in her childhood.
  • The entire cast of the film then took the stage to sing one of the songs of the next film.
  • Finally, a new poster for the film was also revealed.
