Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is a very big deal. In fact, it's a very Marvel is now the latest in a series of companies that had a representative who explained how great it would be to form an alliance (no pun intended) with heavyweight hitter Nintendo.

In recent months, we have seen people behind games like Halo, Cuphead and many others express their desire to see their characters appear in Smash someday. It would be silly to take these statements as an index of upcoming events – who would not say they would like to have their character in Smash during an interview? – but it shows how much a franchise appearance would mean for most developers. Remember the pure happiness of the Knight shovel team when they spotted the character in the game? Unbelievable.

In an interview with Game Informer, Marvel Games Vice President and Creative Director Bill Rosemann was asked about his thoughts on a possible Smash Bros. crossover. You can see the entirety of the interview below if you wish, but here is a quick overview of what he had to say:

"Well, I mean, I can imagine everything. You know, Hawkeye stands next to Link and both of them shoot a few arrows … I mean, everything * can * happen, but I'm not the person who makes decisions like that. "

Of course, this does not mean we should expect to see a Marvel character join the ranks in the near future, but it's interesting to see that a company with a range of characters as famous as Marvel would still like to be involved.

You can watch the full interview here (from 1:39:55). Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order and the studio's relationship with Nintendo are also discussed.

Do you want Smash to include famous characters from big names like Marvel? Or do you prefer that the game focuses primarily on Nintendo's favorites? Tell us below.
