Any educator, including teachers, administrators and school staff, can visit McDonald’s Oct. 11-15 to receive their breakfast, McDonald’s said in a press release on Friday.
“Together with our owners / operators, we pride ourselves on serving the people who make our communities a better place, and this is an important time to say thank you to some of our everyday heroes,” said McDonald’s President USA, Joe Erlinger, in the Liberation.

“We were honored to give 12 million free thank you meals to first responders and healthcare workers last year and now, with educators going above and beyond, we are delighted to recognize them in a way that only McDonald’s can. “

Educators will need to show their professional ID to receive their thank you meal, which will come in a Happy Meal box. The meal will include hash browns and a sandwich – either an Egg McMuffin, bacon, an egg and a cheesecake or a sausage cookie.

They will also receive a drink, either a medium hot or iced McCafé coffee or a soft drink.

“As a former teacher, this thank you meal represents the world to me, and I know it will touch my customers and my employees,” said Stefanie Cabrera Bentancourt, owner of a McDonald’s based in Miami, Fla. in the press release.

“Educators are the backbone of our communities. They have done so much for us, and it is an honor to join my fellow owners / operators across the country in celebrating them.

This isn’t the first gift of appreciation McDonald’s has given teachers. For years, the fast food giant has led “initiatives like McTeachers’ Night, coordinating food deliveries to after-school educators and free meals during the pandemic,” the statement said.

McDonald’s is also inviting others to show their love for the teachers and educators in their lives by using the hashtag on #ThankYouMeal on Twitter, TikTok or Instagram. You can also download the free McDonald’s electronic thank you card to send directly to someone.
