Pastor Brock BrockwayBaptist Church of Bethany at 3532 S. Hoyne Ave. in Chicago’s McKinley Park neighborhood, welcomed his new pastor, Brock Brockway, for his first sermon on Sunday, September 12, 2021, during a historic church service. Brockway replaces Pastor Darrell Daulton, who moved from Chicago with his family.
Brockway holds a master’s degree in divinity from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Western Michigan University with a minor in Spanish.
He is married, has several children, and has lived in Chicago with his family for over a decade, where he worked as a technical and global engineering leader at Cargill.
Youth services and groups
Brockway said he looks forward to serving as a pastor at Bethany Baptist through ministries of preaching, evangelism, discipleship, Bible counseling and leadership development.
Church member Linda Voegtlin noted how Bethany Baptist conducted her sermons and outdoor activities as much as possible in her large courtyard and gardens, and that the community is welcome to join them. Bethany Baptist services and programs include Worship service at 10 a.m. on Sunday and its AWANA Youth Group Wednesday.
