Men’s football receives College Soccer News National Top 30 votes

STONY BROOK, NY – With five wins in his first seven starts, including against previously undefeated Vermont in their first America East game, Stony Brook’s men’s soccer schedule is warning the rest of the league and the nation.

The Seawolves are getting votes in the latest edition of College Soccer News’ National Top 30, the poll revealed Monday afternoon. Stony Brook, who came sixth in the Northeast region last week according to United Soccer Coaches, is one of a group of 10 programs receiving votes. This list includes the traditional powers of Stanford and Santa Clara.

This is the first time in the history of the program that the Seawolves have received votes in a CSN poll and it has been 21 years since they were recognized in a national poll. They were ranked up to 23rd in the 2000 campaign in the United Soccer Coaches poll, then the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

Ryan anatol‘s club is one of two America East programs in the poll, joining 7th place New Hampshire. These two are set to face off on October 28 in Durham, NH
