Michael A. Joyce, 60, and Robin (Gracia) Joyce, 59, died peacefully together from Covid-19 in Georgia. Michael died on August 29 and Robin died on August 24. They were married for 41 years and lived for 33 years in Cary, North Carolina, before recently moving to Georgia.
Michael was born May 27, 1961 in Northridge, California and raised in Nashua, NH. He is survived by his mother, Theresa M. Joyce of Concord, NH, and a large loving family, Carol and Richard Howe of Concord, NH, Jimmy and Cindy Joyce of Grand Junction, CO, Nancy and Bill Dubois of Nashua, NH , Peggy Joyce and Jack Rosenberg from Ascot, England, Patti and Brian Naro from Concord, NH and Danny Joyce, Stella, NC. He was predeceased by his father, James C. Joyce Sr., his brother, Thomas P. Joyce and his sister, Cynthia M. Joyce.
Robin was born December 7, 1961 in New Orleans, LA and raised in Nashua, NH. She is survived by her beloved sister Holly Gracia Sison and her brother-in-law, John Sison of Slidell, LA. She was predeceased by her father, Joseph A. Gracia Jr, and her mother, Jacqueline A. Gracia of New Orleans, LA.
Together they held a special place in the hearts of many nieces and nephews.
Michael and Robin both graduated in 1979 from Nashua High School, NH Sr.
Michael was a master commercial and industrial plumbing contractor, consultant and author of several plumbing books. He has taught a variety of seminars and plumbing courses across the country. He was president of Joyce Company in North Carolina and worked at Campbell Plumbing Mechanical Contractors, Jacksonville, FLA at the time of his death.
Robin studied paralegal and law at Boston University. She held an Associates of Science in Business Management at Bryant & Stratton College, Henrietta. She was previously an Executive Legal Assistant at Dex One Corp, Cary, North Carolina.
Mike has mentored, coached and given generously to young people in sports inspiring many children throughout his life. He was a skilled fisherman and hunter and leaves behind unforgettable memories by sharing these hobbies with his friends and family.
Robin generously gave of his time and resources to those less fortunate. She has mentored high school students for Communities at School (CIS), Wake County public schools and has been active in numerous charitable causes. She was a 4th degree black belt in white tiger martial arts taekwondo in North Carolina.
They were a lovely and lovely couple and will be sadly missed by family and friends.
The families chose to organize a private service at a later date.
