The state of Michigan has taken a major step forward in its COVID-19 vaccination efforts. More than 10,000,000 doses of the vaccine have been administered statewide.

That puts the state at 68.3% of fully vaccinated Michiganders. That’s below their 70% target initially set for July 4.Screenshot of Cbs vaccination warrants

The best doctor in the state hopes that the more the state reaches these milestones, the more likely it is that those who resist will ultimately decide to get vaccinated.

“For people who are hesitant to get the vaccine in the last few months, I think it’s a lot different knowing that the vaccines are given to people you don’t know versus people they know,” Dr Natasha Bagdasarian said, “The likelihood that friends or family have been vaccinated and done well is quite high right now. So maybe that will convince people better that these vaccines are safe and effective.”

Of these ten million doses administered, the State indicates that 200,000 of them are third dose or booster injections.
