A lucky Michigan lottery player has won the $ 1 billion Mega Millions jackpot.
The Mega Millions pot rose to $ 1 billion on Friday night, and a winner was announced around 1 a.m. on Saturday.
The winning numbers were 4, 26, 42, 50, 60 and 24.
Officials said the jackpot – which stands at $ 739.6 million in lump sum, before taxes – was the third-largest lottery prize in U.S. history.
The identity of the winner has not been disclosed.
The Mega Millions raffle comes two days after someone in Maryland was found in possession of the winning ticket to the $ 731.1 million Powerball jackpot.
