“Of the 117 for which hospitalization data was entered, 11 were hospitalized, 103 were not hospitalized and three are reported as unknown,” Sutfin said.

The three people who died were all 65 years of age or older and two “were within three weeks of completing vaccination,” she said.

“While the majority of the population develops full immunity within 14 days of completing their vaccine series, a small proportion appears to take longer to mount a full antibody response. CDC is actively working to better understand the risk characteristics of this group, ”she added.
