According to Johns Hopkins University, more than 40.9 million cases have been reported in the United States, with more than 659,900 deaths reported by the virus. Worldwide, more than 3.5 billion doses of vaccines have been administered, including over 370 million doses in the United States alone.
In the world, more than 224 million people have been confirmed infected and more than 4.6 million died, according to Johns Hopkins University. The actual numbers are certainly much higher, due to the limited testing, the different ways nations count the dead, and the deliberate underreporting of some governments.
