Microsoft Flight Simulator was originally announced to be coming to Xbox One in addition to PC, and the game’s official FAQ still refers to this – so we’re assuming a current version is in the works.

Additionally, Xbox boss Phil Spencer noted during the Gamelab Live 2020 keynote in July that he is looking forward to playing Microsoft Flight Simulator on Xbox Series X when it finally arrives.

“I will say one game that, every time I see it, is so amazing, it’s Microsoft Flight Simulator. And for us at Xbox and Microsoft Gaming, Flight Sim has a long history within the company.

Asobo’s studio is doing an incredible job on this – it’s such a technological power that the game with what it uses in terms of cloud computing to deliver the experiences that they have, and I think this game on the X series is going to be breathtaking. and I can’t wait to experience it on the next generation. “

“We are determined to come to Xbox (console), we are working very hard to get there. We don’t have a schedule yet, but we are working at full speed. Because we know it’s important.”

What did the developer say about the Xbox version?

Asobo Studios has been largely silent on the Xbox version of Microsoft Flight Simulator so far, but Flight Sim Director Jorg Neumann spoke a bit about it in an interview with Gaming Bolt in September.

“We have no doubts that the simulator will be just as amazing on Xbox as it is on PC. Some things could even be better. When it comes to the controller, our intention is to give you a great experience using all the controls you already own, so that you can enjoy the experience with a gamepad as well as a mouse and keyboard. We’ll have more to share with you on the Xbox version of the simulator as launch nears. “
