In the ongoing trade battle between China and the United States, the US government placed Huawei on a blacklist, forcing US companies to stop doing business with it. Although the US government has given Huawei and its partners some breathing space, companies such as Google, Intel and Qualcomm have already stopped working with Huawei.
And now, Microsoft is also joining the movement. Bloomberg reports that Microsoft has exploited Huawei's server products for its Azure Stack technology. The Microsoft Product Catalog page, which lists Azure Stack HCI solutions from companies such as ASUS and others, no longer includes Huawei's offerings. The publication attempted to contact Microsoft to discuss what the company plans to do with its company with Huawei, but could not get any comment.
Earlier Tuesday, Microsoft had stopped selling one of Huawei's flagship notebooks, the MateBook X Pro. The company's online store no longer lists products for the Huawei laptop. This could suggest that Microsoft will end up banning Huawei's Windows license as long as the company is blacklisted by the US government.
Microsoft remains unobtrusive about its actions with Huawei, and does not know if it will end its business with Huawei, including removing the Windows license Huawei. Google has already removed the Huawei Android license, which represents a much greater threat to all of the company's business because it relies heavily on its Android phones. If companies like Microsoft supported it, Huawei could face greater difficulties.
