BURNHAM – The Mifflin County Sports Hall of Fame will hold its first induction ceremony this Sunday afternoon at the Birch Hill Events Center. Although ticket sales for the ceremony have ended, the program will be available via streaming internet to supporting Hall of Fame members and the general public.

“We are pleased to offer the opportunity to family and friends of inductees and even our own members, who cannot attend in person, to experience this wonderful opportunity,” said Jon Zimmerman, president of the local Hall of Fame.

The broadcast is made possible by MCTV, the media literacy outlet for the Mifflin County School District, under the direction of faculty member Roger Herto.

The broadcast will begin around 5 p.m. She can be found by searching online for MCTV’s YouTube channel, then clicking on the Mifflin County Sports Hall of Fame link on the home page. You can also open the Mifflin County School District website at www.mcsdk12.org and then select the MCTV YouTube channel link on the home page. There is no charge to view the program.

Sunday’s HOF induction will include five people – former NFL Super Bowl champion Ralph Baker, world-renowned racquetball champion Cindy Baxter, the late professional soccer player Dave Bradley, former play-by announcer – Penn State play the late Fran Fisher and longtime professional baseball player. and scout Tim Thompson.

In the tag team category, the Lewistown Girls State Basketball AAA Champions in consecutive years 1997 and 1998 will be inducted simultaneously. Some of the honored players played on both state championship teams for coach Kevin Kodish.
