MSNBC host Mika Brzezinski failed Monday morning to try to convince his panel "Morning Joe" to criticize President Trump on a segment dedicated to Memorial Day.
In the segment, Brzezinski began by asking the "reflections" of MSNBC commentator Mike Barnicle, citing the deployment of Trump troops to the southern border.
"I would like to ask you what are your reflections during this period regarding our attitudes in America, our knowledge and our understanding of serving military personnel, who carry out many missions, who took part in to wars in the name of this country, and also, are deployed by this president, say, perhaps, by controversial means as to their deployments to the southern border for arriving caravans. It's a troubling time, is not it? Brzezinski said.
Barnicle responded by expressing a "sadness" that now surrounds Memorial Day, a party that had nothing to do with the president.

"There is a certain sadness about me at Memorial Day because you think of the word memorial and part of that word incorporates memory," Barnicle told Brzezinski.
