Miley Cyrus has responded to disappointed fans with the release of her new album Plastic Hearts, which was not available for purchase at major retailers on the day of its release last week.

After fans complained that they couldn’t find the physical album on its November 27 release date in Target, an equally “ frustrated ” Cyrus addressed the situation on his Twitter account.

Cyrus claimed that she chose Black Friday’s “ suggested ” release date but, unbeknownst to her at the time, major retailers are refraining from stocking albums on that day.

Not only that, but retailers won’t even receive the album for several weeks after its official release.

Miley claims she was never made aware of this fact when she picked the date.

While fans can thankfully still listen to digital copies of the record, it will undoubtedly have an impact on Miley’s Week 1 sales.

“ My fans are my everything and knowing that you are all disappointed when you go out to stores / call / check the stock to be disappointed, I am equally / if not more frustrated, ” she wrote.

“ By choosing 11/27 THE SUGGESTED DATE for the album’s release, my team and I were never told that major retailers were not stocking physical albums on Black Friday and would not be getting copies of PH before a few weeks after release.

Miley included screenshots of various fans who were disappointed with the elusive album.

One fan said his shipment would not arrive until December 15 after ordering it.

“ No store within 35 minutes of me has copies and I live in Atlanta it’s crazy … /: ” tweeted another fan.

Another fan accused RCA Records of trying to sabotage Miley’s career.

Although fans will have to wait a little longer until the album is in their hands, Miley will soon appear on small screens.

Miley will star in the new Amazon Music Holiday Plays concert series, hosted by fellow music sensation Lil Nas X and set to premiere on December 1.

In a preview, Miley is sitting in a dressing room decorated with Lil Nas X, who throws her a series of performance suggestions.
