Millard schools report 2 new cases; 54 new cases in Douglas County

(WOWT) – Here is a summary of the new cases and other statistics of COVID-19 reported today by health officials in Nebraska and Iowa.

2 new cases in the Millard School District

Millard public schools confirmed two more positive cases of COVID-19 in the district on Monday.

According to an MPS spokesperson, one case is at Norris Elementary and the other at Millard South High School.

“School communities have been informed and schools have been cleaned and disinfected,” the MPS spokesperson said in an email.

The report comes five days after two positive cases were reported at Regan Elementary and just before Monday night’s board meeting.

19 new cases in Lincoln

The Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department has reported 19 new cases of COVID-19.

The community total is now 3,486.

The number of deaths remains at 19.

54 new cases in Douglas County

The Douglas County Health Department reported 54 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, bringing the total number of cases in the region to 12,180.

No additional deaths were reported on Monday. The death toll from COVID-19 in Douglas County remains at 143.

There have been 8,206 residents to recover from the coronavirus.
