BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Mint Gaming Hall in Franklin, Ky. Is expanding to a new location in Bowling Green. This new facility, located behind The Pub By Novo on Scottsville Road, will be approximately half the size of Franklin’s building. This approximately 50,000 square foot new addition will include a café and bars, including a sports bar.

The new gambling hall will also offer simulcast sports betting, so people can watch and bet on race tracks across the country. The game room will install hundreds of familiar and new games for people to choose from.

Mint Gaming Hall Marketing Director John Wholihan said this new addition will bring around 100 to 150 jobs to the community, including customer service, bartending, gaming and a variety of positions.

“We look forward to speaking to a lot of people in the Bowling Green area about the job,” said Wholihan. “That’s the main thing, and that’s the part that has an impact on the economy. And to our customers in Bowling Green and surrounding areas, we can’t wait to offer something a little closer, [a] very new, fresh and exciting fun environment.

Along with the employment opportunities, hotels are also excited to see this expansion flourish.

Three Springs Hospitality Regional Sales Manager Claudia Sweeney said she was excited to see the new attraction come to town. “After this last year, a year and a half of the pandemic and the impact it has had on our industry, this is all good news,” Sweeney said.

Sweeney said a tourism hotspot like this leads to job security for their employees when customers are filling their hotels. She is also happy to see a fun new attraction for people.

“In addition to Lost River Cave, Train Depot, Beech Bend and NCM, and NCM Motorsports Park, we have yet another attraction that brings more tourism, more things for people to do when they are here. at Bowling Green. It’s just awesome. It’s super exciting, ”commented Sweeney.
