HOUSTON – Minute Maid Park will serve as a coronavirus vaccine mega-site again on Saturday, according to a tweet from the Houston Department of Health.

Vaccines will be administered by appointment only and all time slots are currently full. People who have already made an appointment are being contacted so they are aware of the new location, health officials said.

Officials said they hope they can open new appointment slots for the clinic on Saturday, and the information will be posted at houstonemergency.org/covid19. There was no indication of how many slots were available.

More than 3,800 people were vaccinated when the city opened its first megasite at The Juice Box last weekend. About 1,000 meeting slots became available on the day of the event and were filled in about half an hour.
