‘Missing’ TV shows: when ‘Russian doll’, ‘Orville’ and more will return

[ad_1]

In these COVID times, more than ever, television shows have tended to “disappear” after being renewed. Let’s see if TVLine can help you find your favorite MIA!

The list below covers two and only two types of shows, so pay close attention to these guidelines:

♦ Renewed a long time ago, but they’ve been crickets ever since.

♦ Last aired over seven months ago, and there is still no official word on the cancellation or renewal.

Periodt.

It is do not a renewed / canceled dashboard (we have a lot of them). Far from there. No, this is an annual report on the status of certain shows that have been out of sight but do not out of mind for their extremely patient fans.

All in all, our carefully curated roundup below provides the final say on over two dozen ‘missing’ shows, including critical darlings (such as Netflix Russian doll, FX Pose and what is now Hulu L’Orville), gems worthy of a frenzy (like Raising Dion and Carnival row) and basic cable favorites (such as Queen of the south and The daring type).

A few broadcast TV shows even made an appearance among this year’s “MIAs,” including Fox’s. Defeat Shazam (one of the few reality shows we’ve bothered to check out) and CBS ‘ Blood and treasure.

FYI: shows we learned had been discreetly canceled / do not return (and have been previously reported as such) include High maintenance, The twilight zone, what / if and At home with Amy Sedaris.

Browse the list below, then click on the comments and let us know which TV series you are looking forward to (again!). What if your favorite “forgotten” show is not featured here, be sure to check out our broadcast, cable and streaming renewal scorecards – or email [email protected] to issue a BOLO!
