MISSOULA – The Missoula City Department of Health (MCCHD) will be holding a public vaccination clinic on Thursday, February 18 at the Old Lucky Market in the Southgate Mall.
Approximately 400 appointments for the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine will be available for the clinic.
Meetings will open online at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, February 17. The link to make an appointment will be available here. Appointments will be offered online only. In the near future, MCCHD will be offering appointments by telephone via option 3 406-258-INFO.
Please note that appointments are not transferable and that individuals are only allowed to book one appointment per person. The Thursday clinic will not make an appointment and appointments are mandatory. An e-mail address is required to make an appointment.
According to a press release, people who make an appointment on Wednesday also commit to a second appointment exactly 21 days after their first dose date at the exact time of their first appointment.
Those who have successfully made an appointment will receive a confirmation email within one hour of booking their appointment which will contain additional information.
Appointments are only available to residents of Missoula County who fall under Level 1 to Phase 1B. Phase 1B level 1 includes people aged 70 and over, American Indians aged 16 and over, and people of color aged 16 and over.
Patients in phase 1A will continue to be eligible.
It should be noted that there are two different brands of COVID-19 vaccine and the timing of the second dose is slightly different. For Pfizer vaccine, the second dose will take place 21 days after the first dose. During this time, the Moderna vaccine the second dose will be 28 days after the first dose.
