The US Department of Justice has accused 60 people, including 31 doctors, of prescribing and distributing opioid analgesics illegally. The Department of Justice says the group, which includes 53 health professionals, is linked to about 350,000 prescriptions and 32 million pills.
The operation, launched by the Trump administration last year, was conducted by the opioid strike force prescribed in the Appalachian region.
