LEWISTOWN – October is National Long Term Care Residents’ Rights Month, a time to recognize the contributions and sacrifices many long term care residents have made to improve our community and to bring attention to rights residents of long-term care facilities. The theme for Residents’ Rights Month 2021 is “Claim my rights, my house, my life” recognize the impact of the past year on residents and stress the need to recognize, recover and reaffirm the rights of residents.

During Residents ‘Rights Month, Mifflin-Juniata Regional Services Corporation – The Care Network recognizes the staff and volunteers of the local Long Term Care Ombudsman program, who work daily to promote residents’ rights, help residents to file complaints and provide information to those who need to find a long-term care facility.
