A mom-of-three with Swindon's Lyme Disease who struggles with daily chores while her organs fail is failing, she refuses to give up her fight to fund a special treatment
Joanne Baskett of Park South has been suffering from untreated disease for decades. She often suffers from agony and can not eat because her bowels, bladder, stomach and gallbladder have stopped working properly.
The 44-year-old woman has co-infections and cancerous lesions caused by HPV since she was 20 years old.
She said: "I'm trying to be optimistic and stay positive because I have my children and I have to fight for them.If I did not have them, I would not be up to it. all over there – but that can be pretty miserable and lonely, it exists but does not live.

Since she was bitten by an insect in the United States more than 20 years ago, then by a tick in 2009 while she was in her garden, Joanne suffers from symptoms such as nausea, fevers and chronic pain related to kidney infections and arthritis.
She received a confirmed diagnosis of Lyme disease in 2016.
Joanne has managed to raise enough money to consult a doctor in Ireland and get a drug that can treat the disease – but gastrointestinal problems prevent it from ingesting liquefied tablets.
She added, "I can not keep my food to a minimum, I lose a lot of weight," and I do not do anything more than a few milligrams, so I can not digest the new drugs and I feel like I'm # 39 was in limbo.

Official figures indicate that about 1,000 people have Lyme disease in the United Kingdom, but those who suffer from it believe that the actual number is between 15,000 and 30,000.
