INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Here’s a look at some of Monday’s business headlines.

Exxon Mobil

Executives from Exxon, Shell, BP and others are called to testify in Congress in October after a secret recording this year revealed an Exxon official downplaying the impact of fossil fuels on climate change.

The move comes as Washington grapples with major climate change legislation intended to reduce the country’s dependence on oil and gas.

Natural disasters

In 2002 alone, natural disasters caused $ 268 billion in damage worldwide, according to the data platform Statista.

And scientists are worried about the increasing speed of storms, lack of climate action and dilapidated infrastructure.

Amazon

Amazon has confirmed a South China Morning Post report that the internet giant has banned more than 600 Chinese brands for incidents of review fraud. These companies have intentionally and repeatedly violated review policies prohibiting incentive reviews.

Sellers were surprised to offer rewards, including gift cards, to customers who left reviews.

Ben & Jerry’s Israel

Some states are considering cutting all investment in European consumer giant Unilever.

Unilever is the parent company of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream, which earlier this year decided to stop selling its ice cream in the West Bank.

New York, New Jersey and Texas are also considering or have stopped investing in state pension plans in the brand.
