Monster Rancher 1 & 2 DX is a Pokémon-like game coming to Switch

You’ll be able to play another Pokémon-type game later this year, thanks to the upcoming arrival of Monster Rancher 1 & 2 DX, the remaster of Koei Tecmo’s retro monster collection games. Most people don’t use CDs anymore, but the developers have found a way to rework the functionality in their modern version of the game. Monster Rancher 1 & 2 DX, you will be able to search a database to find the desired CD of each monster and generate a monster from its data.

The re-release will include new content that was not in the original Western version, such as additional save slots, Freeze slots, and Monster Hall of Fame slots. The new version will also bring some other gameplay improvements. Players will now be able to use a memo function while raising monsters, view random battle leaderboards, and use a high speed mode to play faster in the game.

Monster Rancher reboots are just a few of the many Pokémon-like that have been announced or released in recent years. There are Got got, a hardcore MMO version of Pokémon released in 2020, and Password, a game that takes the concept of raising cute monsters and turns it into a brutal survival game, which is slated for sometime in 2022. Or also, you can just play one of the many real Pokemon games that are expected to come out in the next few months, like Shiny Diamond Pokémon and Shiny pearl Where Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
