According to many reports, a power outage due to a transformer fire in downtown Manhattan on Saturday night July 13 resulted in power outages in the Hell's Kitchen neighborhoods, downtown from Manhattan, Times Square and the Upper West Side to New York.

According to the Broadway League: Due to a power outage in downtown Manhattan, Broadway theaters are experiencing delays in customer admissions and cancellations.
