Accra, Ghana, November 28, 2018 – Sixteen diplomats in Ghana use the social media platform to make their voices heard in the global campaign to end gender-based violence. The campaign, which began on November 25, will last 16 days until December 10, 2018. This exercise falls within the framework of the 16 days of UN activism against gender-based violence that take place every year.
Diplomats include UN Resident Coordinator Christine Evans-Klock, German and Canadian Heads of Mission, the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), the International Organization for Migration (IOM), France, Australia, the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) and the European Union.
Other organizations include the presidents of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), Mexico, the Joint United Nations Program on HIV / AIDS (UNAIDS), the Netherlands, the Food Program (WFP), the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and Italy. Read more.
