The efficiency of the drive has been improved through an improved injection process and a new configuration of turbochargers and charge air cooling system. power is delivered by a new eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Other highlights include new assistance systems, including the wet porsche mode to make driving on wet roads even safer, and help with night vision with infrared camera, as well as the full connectivity, which now uses swarm intelligence.
the exterior design emphasizes the performance jump for the 911 type 992. significantly wider wheel housings bend over 20-inch front wheels and 21-inch rear wheels. the back has now the same width on all models, highlighting the slim central section. in the front, the body is 45 mm wider. The flush integration of the sliding electric handles in the doors accentuates the sleek and smooth lateral contour.
between the new LED headlights, a hood with a pronounced recess evokes the design of the first 911 generations. On the back of all models, the clearly wider rear wing and variable positions and the elegant and seamless guide bar dominate the rear. Apart from the front and back sections, all of the outer skin is now aluminum.
inspired by the 911s models of the 1970s, the interior is characterized by clear and straight lines of the dashboard with recessed instruments. next to the central rev counter – typical for porsche – two slim frameless formfinders provide information to the driver. The PCM's central display now measures 10.9 inches and can be used quickly and without distraction thanks to the new architecture.
underneath is a compact five-button switching unit for direct access to important vehicle functions. In terms of scanning, 911 is taking a new step forward in the future with ongoing connectivity as well as new features and services. Standard PCM features include online navigation based on Swarm data as well as porsche connect plus.
It is also equipped with a 10.9-inch touch screen, intelligent control elements and chassis, as well as innovative support systems.
