Monster Hunter World is already Capcom's best-selling game in history, with over 8 million copies sold, and it has only been released on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in January. Until now, PC players have been excluded from action, but they will be able to hunt down and ruthlessly kill monsters like the rest of us when it comes to the platform in August.
Monster Hunter World ] will be released for PC on Steam, and those who pre-order the game will have access to the Origin Armor and Fair Wind Charm. These are the same pre-order bonus items that were available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions earlier this year.
Capcom has also released the system specifications needed to run the PC game, and they are surprisingly modest. It is recommended to have an Intel Core i3 8350 processor at 4 GHz and a GPU GTX 1060, as well as 8 GB of RAM, and the game will only take 20 GB of storage space. If you want to turn the game to a minimum, you can even get away with a GPU GTX 760, a card that was released more than five years ago.
Customization options appear to be extended, with the ability to alter water reflection, foliage sway, sub-surface diffusion, ambient occlusion, dynamic range and several other elements . Another feature will be included that players are not likely to appreciate – Denuvo DRM. The software is intended to prevent players from falsifying the game, but it is known to cause performance problems in other titles and can usually be "cracked" in a matter of days or weeks.
Monster Hunter World Capcom plans to support the game with free content updates similar to those of the console versions.
The game is not available on Nintendo Switch and it seems unlikely that the system could run it, but you can buy Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate for Switch on August 28th. An updated version of the 3DS game Monster Hunter Generations The Switch version supports the four-player cooperative game either locally or online, and it should give you your Monster Hunter fix while you're on the go.
