The Cooking of Kapana in the Eastern Region Attracts Numerous

The Kapana Cooking Contest in the Eastern Region attracted over 40 attendees in Gobabis during the weekend. Omaheke Mega-save the commercial complex of the city for the first time since its inception in 2014.
The competition has resulted in five winners in the category of cooks and three winners in the category of professional cooks who will participate in the Grand Final at Windhoek on a date yet to be announced.
The contest, which was mostly entered by Gobabis kapana sellers, attracted a large crowd of spectators who came to cheer on the participants.
According to MeatMa's Local Sales Representative & Value Addition, Griffith Uahindua, MeatMa was again, we are happy to be part of this tour of the East.
"We congratulate all the winners who have qualified for the final round.We are also happy to learn that all Kapana sellers here in the East are buying their meat at Metro Stores which also sells We hope that constituency participants such as Otjinene, Epukero, Aminuis and Rietfontein will participate in the competition in the coming years, as it becomes popular among the communities in the region.
She added that the competition has a Significant impact on livelihoods by bringing services and opportunities closer to the competition MeatMa, in collaboration with partners Nedbank, Namibian Chiefs Association, Namib Mills and Pick n Pay to host next Central Region competition in Windhoek Pick n Pay shopping center at the newly refurbished Black Chain Shopping Center, Katutura.
