Ndeunyema's body was found four days later, more than 150 kilometers away, in the Oshikoto region. She had her throat cut.

Family spokesman Jason Kombada said Ndeunyema had disappeared after dropping the children in the church. She parked her car in Ongha around 10 am after leaving the children.

At first, Kombada said that Ndeunyema was supposed to be in the church with the children, but changed her mind saying that she had something to do in Omuthiya, about 100 km away.

"She said that she would leave the car," he explained.

Kombada added that Ndeunyema had indicated that she would not be long since she had to be at work on Monday, November 19th.

The Namibian understands that Ndeunyema was in love with Ricardo Shahonya (52), a long-distance bus driver from the nearby village of Ohamboyomuve, and reportedly sent someone to pick her up at Ongha. They would then meet again in Omuthiya.

According to the family, Ndeunyema called his brother, around noon, from Cham Cham village, in the Oshikoto area, to ask him if he had access to a car. The brother told him that he did not have access to a car at the time.

"I think I'm in trouble," Ndeunyema told the anonymous brother before his cell phone died.

During the search, the police obtained MTC phone location information that revealed that Ndeunyema's mobile phone had been turned off Sunday afternoon in the Cham Cham area between Omuthiya and Oshivelo.

According to police, they traced Shahonya's mobile phone signal to the place where Ndeunyema's body was found.

The police therefore suspect Shahonya of killing Ndeunyema, throwing the body to Tsintsabis, and then continuing his journey to Windhoek.

On Tuesday, Shahonya returned to his village, where his wife found her body hanging from the rafters on her return from work.

Oshikoto Police Commissioner Armas Shivute said he had arrested a suspect whose documents were recovered near the place where Ndeunyema's body was found.

"On the scene, the police found documents for someone who is (now) in custody. The link is there, Shahonya may have used someone else or they helped each other out. The person will appear in Tsumeb Court today, "Shivute said.

An autopsy will be held on Wednesday. Ndeunyema leaves four children.
