Earlier this year, we launched the new YouTube Music and YouTube Premium subscription plans to help users get more out of their YouTube experience. YouTube Music is a new music streaming service featuring official albums, playlists, and singles, as well as an extensive catalog of music videos, remixes, live performances, covers, and more. all with ad-free access, in the background and offline. YouTube Premium extends this ad-free experience across YouTube and includes access to YouTube Originals.

Student plans are available for YouTube Music Premium at $ 4.99 and YouTube Premium at $ 6.99. Students who register before 31/01/19 can block YouTube Premium at a special rate of $ 5.99 only.

For those who are confused, Premium – formerly known as YouTube Red – is the subscription-based streaming video service, offering ad-free video playback and download capabilities on YouTube, access to YouTube Originals, and YouTube Music Premium in the form of integrated subscription. YouTube Music Premium only provides subscribers with access to music-related content, such as music videos, remixes, live performances, and more.

YouTube streaming services are currently only available in the United States and are expected to reach our shores by the first half of 2019. All prices listed above are in USD.
