India vs Australia: Virat Kohli finds the perfect way to beat the rain in Sydney | locust

The first day of the match between Cricket Australia XI and India was abandoned Wednesday because of the rain, the Indian skipper Virat Kohli decided to go to the gym rather than waste time in the locker room. To give him company was other than the opener Murali Vijay and the spearhead of the rhythm, Ishant Sharma. Coach Shanker Basu was closely monitoring their training session.

While going on Instagram, Kohli posted a picture on which it was written: "The rain does not seem to leave, so we decided to do something of our day. I have to like a good workout with the boys. #to count every day

Unceasing rain kept the players out of the way, as adverse weather conditions did not diminish at all. It started raining in Sydney Tuesday night and after a flood all day, the ground was soggy.

There was a brief stop in the rain at 1 pm local time, and the men on the ground worked hard to prepare the field and field. The throw was scheduled at 15:30 local time and the game would start at 16:00, if no other rain fell.

But the game was dropped for the day at 3 pm local time, with a half-hour extension from the second day.

Some Indian support staff had been on the ground assessing weather conditions earlier in the morning. The team did not even arrive on the ground because of bad weather conditions.

More rain is forecast for Thursday morning, but the weather should be clearer by the second day. As the Indian camp wants, the game was not awarded first-class status, which allowed all the players of the tour to participate in the match. The Cricket Australia XI is also an uninspiring team sheet for the upcoming series, except perhaps D'Arcy Short which was part of the recently completed T20I series.

For India, it's a chance to play and make the transition from cricket to red ball in red cricket for the last time this season. After this series, there is a long, limited schedule for matches until the 2019 ODI World Cup. But before the attention is turned to this quadrennial tournament, there is no need to prepare well for the last series of tests abroad which will be disputed this year.
