In a move that could help fight online harassment and cyberbullying, Facebook may soon allow users to prevent certain words or phrases from appearing in their timelines. According to some information, this feature would also allow you to prevent some emoji from appearing. Want to rid your calendar of mentions of Trump?
News comes with permission from Jane Wong in Hong Kong on Twitter. A screengrab shows the functionality being developed and its operation. Wong said: "Facebook is striving to allow users to ban words / phrases / emojis from displaying in their personal calendar."

The image has a tab on the right of the screen allowing users to add words or phrases to ban comments from your timeline. Examples given are & # 39; Can I be checked & # 39; and & # 39; Facebook Gold & # 39 ;. The filtered comments always appear for the user who posted them, but do not appear in the timelines of those intended to receive them. This would allow potential stalkers to believe that their comments have been published, thus reducing the likelihood that they are trying to circumvent the moderation.
