WINDHOEK – China's Huawei, in collaboration with Namibian telecommunications provider MTC, is using funds to build 250 low-cost homes in Namibia.

The donation of N $ 10 million ($ 722,000) to the Namibian Shack Dwellers Federations was announced at a gala dinner held Monday evening in Windhoek, on the occasion of the 10-year partnership between TCM and Huawei.

Namibian President Hage Geingob said during the event that this partnership is indicative of the all-weather friendship between Namibia and China.

"It is also an example of the results of South-South cooperation, in which two telecommunication partners have joined forces to bring world-class technologies to Namibia while contributing to the well-being of society," he said. he added.
