Looking for something to do in Metro Vancouver? Here are three suggestions for Friday, November 30th.

2018 Holiday Market of Portobello West

Christmas is fast approaching, the time has come to fill up on seasonal decor and strange crafts. To that end, I recommend the 2018 Portobello West Holiday Market, which will take place this weekend at the Roundhouse Community Arts and Recreation Center. Shop from over 70 local artisans who make fashion, jewelry, art, home accessories, gourmet treats, baby and kids items, and more.

Where: The Roundhouse, 181 Roundhouse Mews, Vancouver
When: from noon to 8 pm
Cost: $ 2

Kweku Collins: first visit

If you've never heard of Kweku Collins, it's because he's just starting out (and is popular on Soundcloud, where kids get all their music these days). The rapper from Evanston, Ill., Is only 21 years old, but he already seems wise beyond his years – one can only imagine how he will do better. Collins is already on tour and on Friday, Tour One stops in Vancouver for a show at Biltmore. Catch it before it becomes a household name, so you can say that you liked it before it was cool.

Where: Biltmore Cabaret, 2755 Prince Edward Street, Vancouver
When: 20h
Cost: $ 15

St. Paul's Labyrinth Live Music: Dawn Pemberton – Gospel and Vintage Soul

Here's an interesting example: On Friday night, the Vancouver Power Station, Dawn Pemberton, will perform his trademark of gospel and vintage soul at St. Paul's Anglican Church. But it's not just a church show – it's at The Labyrinth at St. Paul's, the 13-meter replica of the medieval labyrinth set in the stone floor of the 13th-century Cathedral of Notre-Dame de Chartres century. It's a very cool place, and it's a particularly nice place to listen to soul music. Take a stroll through the labyrinth and think, or sit in contemplation as Pemberton blows you with pipes that even the church organ can not match.

Where: Saint Paul Labyrinth, 1130 Jervis Street, Vancouver
When: 19h
No cost
