He added that the day would be marked by the theme "Get tested, know your status" to raise awareness of HIV / AIDS in order to reduce the number of patients in the province. Dr. Baloch said that 911 HIV-AIDS patients were treated in Quetta and 301 in Turbat under the program.

He added that cases of HIV-AIDS have also been reported to Qila Saifullah, Zhob, Sherani, Gwadar, Loralai, Lasbela, Nushki, Qilla Abdullah and Pishin. He said it was incumbent on all segments of society, including scholars and other stakeholders, to play their vital role in raising awareness of HIV / AIDS. He added that AIDS centers had been set up at the Bolan Medical Complex and Turbat Hospital.
